Great news from one of the most authoritative Italian Wine Guides.
Doctorwine, the noted journalist Daniele Cernilli, awarded “the little face” (a symbol assigned to wines that have received a score between 95 and 97 points) to two wines from the Tedeschi family as well as two stars (out of 3) to the winery!
The Marne 180 Amarone della Valpolicella DOCG 2019 was awarded 1 little face and 97 points after obtaining the same score at DWWA in London. The comment was thrilling: “…Excellent drinkability, memorable, modern character”
The second little face and 95 points were awarded to the flagship wine Capitel Monte Olmi Amarone della Valpolicella DOCG Classico Riserva 2017. Some tasting notes were: “Intense palate, flavorful, balsamic, thick texture …“
Of equal merit with 92 points are the other two wines selected by the guide:
- Capitel San Rocco Valpolicella Ripasso DOC Superiore 2020
- Maternigo Valpolicella DOC Superiore 2020
