Aldo Fiordelli, Senior Editor at James Suckling, recently reviewed two of our Amarone wines, awarding them prestigious scores.
The Capitel Monte Olmi Amarone della Valpolicella DOCG Classico Riserva 2019 earned an impressive 97 points, accompanied by a wonderful description: “Beautifully vivid, combining richness of fruit with purity and freshness. Dried mandarin peel, orange blossom and cherry chocolate on the nose. Full-bodied but not heavy, with a mineral, transparent freshness emerging through dusty tannins. Long and composed to the end.”
Meanwhile, the Ansari Amarone della Valpolicella DOCG 2021 received 95 points—an equally exciting score.
Recently, Andrii Stetsiuk, Critic & Tasting Operations Manager, tasted several Recioto della Valpolicella wines; the Capitel Fontana Recioto della Valpolicella Classico 2021 was described as “fragrant and floral” and awarded 93 points—the highest score given in the category.
Many thanks to the entire James Suckling editorial team!
